CHECK OUT THE NRC ONLINE FORUM!
There will be a field meet for both Harris Hawks and Goshawks on the 4th February. Those wishing to attend should contact Glynne Malkin. In addition, the club are working toward organising an end of season full week of field meets. This will commence on Monday, 27th of February and will include meets at different locations each day up to and including the 3rd March. If you wish to partake in any of these days, whether one day, two or three or all of them, please contact Glynne Malkin to put yourself forward.
The NRC AGM was held on this night at Wooton Hall Pavillion, and the existing committee members were all re-elected to their posts. These are as follows:
The committee wish to thank the membership for their continued support going into our seventh year as a club.
The British Falconers Fair will return to Althorp House for 2012, and takes place on May 6th & 7th Bank Holiday Sunday and Monday. The organisers have asked NRC, as the local club, to man their mews at this event. As the local club, it would be fitting for us to provide this service for such an auspicious event, not only in the world of British falconry, but around the world. If you can help, there will be a limited number of free passes available for those volunteering to man the mews which will be ascertained at a later date. Please make it known to the committee if you will be available.

Field meet, 30th october, Goshawks only..check it out here!!
Members are reminded that the November meeting is Pie and Chips night, free to members, £2.50 per guest. Also, November is auction night, so bring your stuff and bring your wallet!! Club cut is 15% winning bid, but we're happy to take it all if you want to make a donation!! Make sure your diary is clear on the night! On another note, give some thought to the idea of a medi-eval banquet at Coombe Abbey in mid-march..we need to re-establish the social side of the club, and this would be a great way to revive it..check it out on the web here!
Today saw NRC members Glynne & Kate Malkin and John Tyas out and about with the Malkin's pair of Goshawks. Click here for more..
The NRC raffle has been on offer throughout the summer at all events attended by the club, and was drawn at the Earls Barton show. There was a choice of prize for the winner, a lady who hails from Woodford Halse, Northants. She has chosen a day's hawking on an NRC field meet later this year. Congratulations!! A huge thank you to all those who supported us by purchasing tickets, and we hope you will do so again next year...it could be your turn next!!
Campaign for Falconry chairman Terry Large will be returning to Wooton Pavilion in September to once again entertain us with his hawking adventures abroad and at home. It will also be a good time to perhaps catch up on news from both the Campaign and the Hawkboard, and I'm sure the International Festival of Falconry will be a topic of conversation. Check your diaries and be sure to clear the evening of the 29th Sept.
NRC webmaster John Tyas had a visit from a very old friend with whom he grew up in New York. John and Paulette Curreri visited England for a few days and spent some time with Ki'che, JT's male Saker...JC took some terrific shots of the bird in flight, chasing and catching the lure, so we thought we would share them click here....Enjoy!!
Club treasurer Marvin Moore falls under the spotlight..
Falconrymart.co.uk is as the name suggests, a kind of online marketplace for falconry. It includes links and contacts such as breeders, equipment and food suppliers as well as events involving falconry...click the image below to visit...
